At KS3 students begin a programme of study designed sequentially towards the demands of KS4.
We aim to develop over time during KS3 a number of areas:
• To be able to creatively express ideas and experiences • To be able to analyse and select appropriately the work of different artists and from different cultures and make connections to their own work. • To be able to experiment with a range of media, techniques and processes relevant to intentions • To be able to organise and develop ideas relevant to a given theme and own intentions • To be able to produce skilful final outcomes |

Assessment Details
Students will be assessed using the STEP System, using the categories that links to KS4 Assessment Objectives: Develop, Refine, Record, Present.
- Assessment at KS3 is based around the KS4 Assessment Objectived, particularly for Year 9, and SOW are designed to meet these criteria.
Staff Roles
RF will lead Art lessons.
Equipment/Health and Safety
All equipment needed for Art lessons will be provided by Stevenage ESC. Students will have a journal and all equipment required to build a Portfolio of evidences.
How will it be examined?
All topics and skills covered are required for GCSE Art and Design. |
